Astral Eyes – Princess for the Night

Astral Eyes single Princess for the Night

Astral Eyes – Princess for the Night

This little town
They keep their heads down
They’re working hard every day
The beast needs to feed
To keep it at ease
A small price to pay

This little town
There are no heroes
Just everyday women and men
When the time comes
There are no champions
Nobody here can defend

Oh please don’t cry pretty baby
Some day a hero will make it right

Everything is for you baby
You’re the Princess for the Night
You choose the wine
We’ll make you a shrine
Tonight is your night

Every Autumn
Before the harvest
We gather for the lottery
Virgins apply
We lose just one life
One night debauchery

Oh please don’t cry pretty baby
Some day a hero will make it right

Everything is for you baby
You’re the Princess for the Night
You choose the wine
We’ll make you a shrine
Tonight is your night

(break)

Everything for you baby
You’re the Princess for the Night
You choose the wine
We’ll make you a shrine
Tonight is your night

Everything for you baby
You’re the Princess for the Night
You choose the wine
We’ll make you a shrine
Tonight is your night

Oh please don’t cry pretty baby
Some day a hero
Some day a hero
Some day a hero will make it right

Astral Eyes April Release – Siren’s Song

Roman and Astral Eyes have released the second song from the upcoming Art EP. This one is called Siren’s Song.

Featuring Argentinian Metal singer Inés Vera-Ortíz as the Siren, Randy Burk on drums, Nick Bellabuscci on bass guitar, and of course Roman on good and evil guitars, this song sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.

Astral Eyes – Siren’s Song

Yes, based off the Greek mythological sirens, Inés does a fantastic job on vocals! She definitely delivers, with that voice that brings sailors to their rocky deaths.

Roman of course wrote the music including the orchestrations. Maria Grigoryeva and friends provided the Violins I, Violins II, Violas, and Cellos.

You’ve never heard anything like this. Roman combines Heavy Metal with Romantic era Classical as only he knows how, and the two clashing styles blend together perfectly.

Roman wrote this song for his mother, who unfortunately passed away several years back. She never got to hear it.

So recently, Roman decided to orchestrate it and release it with a professional Symphonic Metal singer. He discovered Inés completely by chance, hearing her covering a Nightwish song online.

“I need to somehow contact this singer!”

He told me that he immediately scoured the internet to find how he could contact her, and of course managed to do so. Now we have her playing the Siren in Astral Eyes Siren’s Song, an ethereal Romantic Metal piece that showcases Roman’s unique guitar playing, Inés’s gorgeous voice, and Roman’s songwriting ability.

Nobody sounds quite like Astral Eyes. Because nobody else can pull this off.

Astral Eyes’ March Release – Lizzie’s Opium Waltz

As the band told us, Lizzie refers to Lizzie Siddal, not Lizzie Borden. And Lizzie Siddal had a little opium problem.

Model, muse, artist, poet, Lizzie unfortunately died young. Watch what Astral Eyes does with this video. And of course if you like the music, buy it from:

Astral Eyes – The Last Romantic

Funny how the years change you
Remember us so long ago
Sneaking out after midnight
Loving you ’til I had to take you home

Times we had so magical
We talked so much you knew my soul
But you knew I had to run
You knew
I would drift away my life eternally

Over the years
There was no one like you
You knew me
And what I’d put you through
Yet you still
Opened your heart and let me in

I know you’ve settled down
You’ve found the right one
You closed that door
Long ago
But you know
We’ve made each other sing
We’ve seen each other’s wings

(Roman’s guitar solo)

I know you’ve settled down
You’ve found the right one
You closed that door
Long ago
But you know
We’ve made each other sing
We’ve seen each other’s wings

Sometimes I think of you
I know we cannot go back
All those years I know you’ve moved on
And I still drift the same old track

A starving artist for life
You got rich and I need a muse
When my money runs out
No idea what I will do

I won’t call
Won’t beg for help
I would rather die
Than admit that you had won

Laugh at what I’ve become
But you know me I never quit
That’s why I made you scream
Your new love could never do this

Skitz Blackheaven leaves Astral Eyes for In Spades

Skitz Blackheaven will be stepping down from his lead vocals and lead guitar duties at Astral Eyes. He will be going a more Progressive Metal direction with his new band In Spades.

The management at Vampiress Records wishes Skitz Blackheaven the very best of luck! Vampiress Records has had excellent experiences with Skitz and notes that he’s very easy to work with, and a pleasant person as well. We’re hoping he has immediate success with his new band.

Skitz played a vital role restoring Astral Eyes since when he joined, it was a dying band. More importantly to us, we were losing money.

Now, Astral Eyes is poised to make us money and it’s partially because of Skitz. So, thank you Skitz. We sincerely wish you the best!

Astral Eyes releases their final single from their debut album – Stargazer

Astral Eyes has released Stargazer from their debut album Another Sacrifice Gone Wrong.

Stargazer is about a femme fatale. This time, she’s a seer. She knows the future and knows that you’re trapped with a horribly violent fate. Unless of course, well, you’ll need to hear the song.

Stargazer from Another Sacrifice Gone Wrong, released 6/27/2017

Stargazer lyrics

By horseback I ride
By bandits and vagabonds
Over deep forest trails
Galloping by the lake of fire

I sleep in a dark cold tower
Long hair with a frozen face
Stargazer
Stargazer
Stargazer
Stargazer

I fear what she sees
The future is not for me
With great clarity
Paralysis is my destiny

I sleep in a dark cold tower
Long hair with a frozen face
The future is in the stars
She reads with a devil’s gaze

You’ve given me this tragic choice
A brutal death or take you as my wife
Stargazer

(Skitz guitar solo)

I sleep in a dark cold tower
Long hair with a frozen face
The future is in the stars
She reads with a dragon’s gaze

You’ve given me this tragic choice
A brutal death or take you as my wife
A marionette below your strings
Unchain me now this wretched life is free

Upcoming

The band is working on an entirely Classical EP without any lyrics, to be released on May 7, 2018. In the meantime, definitely check out their upcoming EP on Halloween. They want to release often. Thus, the Kiss from the Blade EP with four brand new songs, and another EP to be released less than a year later.

They will only be releasing one video from the upcoming EP. Roman and Randy are currently working on mixing the EP. Justin Weis of Trakworx will be providing the mastering services.

Astral Eyes released their second single from their upcoming second album. Although they won’t be releasing the album until next year, we’ll try to get you three preview singles before it gets released. The band really wants to convince you that this album is going to be your favorite album of 2018!

The video will be filmed in Oakland. As they went artsy with Darvulia, their previous single and video, this time will be more straight up Metal!

Black Flames Unleashed lyrics

Soul Devouring Beast, Black Flames Unleashed,
Ascension from The Sigil
Bloodlust yet untamed, Creature Unnamed,
Flesh of Pure Evil

Reigning Ever High, The Calamity is real
Burn Forever, The Blackest Flames of Hell
Where dead men tell no tales, into the mouth of the beast.

Heart Black as the Night, This realm’s in blight
A World thrown in Chaos.
Death Mist in the Air, Red eyes that stare
Laughing at your prayers.

Reigning Ever High, The Calamity is real
Burn Forever, The Blackest Flames of Hell
Where dead men tell no tales, into the mouth of the beast.

“The Devil Whispered in my ear”
“You’re not strong enough to withstand the storm”
“Today I whispered in the Devil’s Ear,”
“I am the storm!”

(Skitz solos)

Reigning Ever High, The Calamity is real
Burn Forever, The Blackest Flames of Hell
Where dead men tell no tales, into the mouth of the beast.

Reigning Ever High, The Calamity is real
Burn Forever, The Blackest Flames of Hell
